08.04.2005 [Annual Maintenance Fees]
To
All Holders of Burial Privilege Certificates:
The Annual Maintenance Fee for 2005 is $25.00 per grave.
Maintenance fee includes the following:
Cutting grass, keeping roads, buildings and other structures owned
by Madonna Cemetery in repair; providing for the purchase and maintenance of
machinery, tools and equipment; salary and benefits for employees; payment of
insurance premiums; maintenance of necessary records and interments.
As the cemetery's expenses increase, so must the Annual
Maintenance Fee.
*NOTE: Private mausoleum fees are based on the amount of graves
used.
To avoid these charges, place the grave(s) under Perpetual
Care. For a small investment now, you and your family will be free
of the obligation to pay annual fees. Please contact the office Monday through
Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM for prices.
Very Truly Yours,
Rev. Stephen A. Carey

[Mosquito Control]
The
Director of Cemeteries for the Newark Archdiocese mailed us, the Madonna Cemetery,
a letter asking that we comply with the New Jersey Mosquito Control Association
policy that prohibits the use of any vessel that holds water for any period
of time that may breed mosquitoes.*
We ask that, for your own safety, you comply with the NJ Health Statutes
26:3B-6 which state that "No person, corporation or
municipality knowingly shall maintain or permit to be maintained any pool, ditch,
stream, or other body of water, or any cistern, privy vault, cesspool or other
receptacle containing liquid in which mosquitoes are breeding."
As recommended by the NJMCA and the Archdiocese of Newark, we
welcome the planting of annual flowers planted in the ground.
*To request a copy of the above-mentioned letter, please call the Madonna Cemetery Office at (201) 944-7723.
